Amazon Associates is ChatAds’ affiliate partner. When ChatAds detects product mentions in your AI conversations, it generates Amazon affiliate links using your Associate ID — you keep 100% of the commissions.

How It Works

ChatAds is an infrastructure tool. We match products mentioned in conversations to Amazon affiliate links, but the affiliate relationship is entirely yours:
  • You earn the commissions — ChatAds doesn’t take a cut of affiliate revenue
  • You own the reporting — track clicks, conversions, and earnings in your Amazon Associates dashboard
  • You manage compliance — follow Amazon’s Operating Agreement as you would with any affiliate integration

Step 1: Sign Up for Amazon Associates

If you don’t already have an Amazon Associates account:
  1. Go to affiliate-program.amazon.com
  2. Click Sign Up
  3. Log in with your existing Amazon account (or create one)
  4. Fill in your account information, website details, and preferred payment method
  5. Amazon will provide your Associate ID (also called a tracking ID)
The sign-up process takes about 5 minutes. Amazon approves most applications immediately, though they review your first qualifying purchases within 180 days.
Already have an Amazon Associates account? Skip to Step 2 — you can use your existing Associate ID.

Step 2: Find Your Associate ID

Your Associate ID (tracking ID) looks like this: 
yoursite-20
It’s typically your site name followed by -20. You can find it in your Amazon Associates dashboard in the top-right corner or under Account Settings > Manage Your Tracking IDs.

Step 3: Add Your Associate ID to ChatAds

  1. Log into app.getchatads.com
  2. Go to API Keys
  3. Enter your Associate ID in the Amazon Affiliate Tag field
  4. Click Save
That’s it. ChatAds will now use your Associate ID when generating Amazon affiliate links.

Earnings & Reporting

Since you keep 100% of affiliate commissions, all earnings reporting happens in Amazon’s systems: Amazon pays commissions monthly, approximately 60 days after the end of the month in which the sale occurred. Commission rates vary by product category — see Amazon’s commission income statement for current rates.
